'C'est quoi la France ?' is an independent monthly zine exploring the figures who shaped French history and culture – one icon per issue.
Each edition is entirely self-authored and self-produced: I research and write the content in both French and English, and create all illustrations in Procreate. Issues to date have featured Victor Hugo, Louis XIV and Joséphine Baker, figures chosen for the complexity of their legacy and their enduring relevance to how France understands itself.
This is a personal project that sits at the intersection of editorial design, illustration and bilingual writing as a way of deepening my connection to French cultural life one story at a time.
